It was the first writers’ strike in more than 15 years and made many movie and TV projects stop. One big problem was the use of artificial intelligence (AI). The WGA wanted Hollywood’s studios and producers to limit (限制) the use of AI on creative projects. They wanted AI not to be allowed to write or rewrite material or be used as source material. Creative AI programs like Chat GPT can now create human-like written works and panies could use these programs instead of people to create scripts (剧本) for movies and TV shows in the future. The WGA was worried that AI could be used to create scripts based on writer’s previous works. Another problem was pay. Warren Leight, an executive producer (执行制作人), said, “What AI could do is put out a garbled (混乱不清的) piece of work … instead of hiring you to do a first draft, studios hire you to do a second draft, which pays less.” This made writers want to “nip that in the bud”. AI is already being used widely in other parts of the entertainment industry, such as deaging actors in post-production, said Fortune magazine. Even the WGA and others are open to using AI “less as a creator and more as a tool”, similar to how writers might refer to research material for their work, said tech news website Gizmodo. Still, although AI is not set to replace human writers just yet, the chance could be there in the future. 根据材料内容选择最佳答案。 1.What is the WGA’s opinion on AI A.Hollywood should control its use of AI.
