According to The Washington Post, although polar bears usually look white, their fur isn’t white at all. And their skin (皮肤) is black! Our hair gets its colour because of something called pigment (色素). Different kinds of pigments make different colours. But polar bears’ fur has no pigment. The fur is hollow (中空的).
