He feels he has made a different and decisive choice. The poem is written by the American poet,Robert Frost (1874-1963). He uses the image of a split path in a wood to talk about choices in life. Frost wrote the poem after a trait of his friend and fellow poet, Edward Thomas.When they walked together,Thomas would express regret about the path they hadn’t taken , and what they may have missed. He regretted what may have been a “better”path, but Frost mocked him for it and wrote the poem as somewhat of a joke. Despite this funny story,the poem has a deeper meaning.
