Step 2 Reading and learning 1. Have students read the rubrics and the title of the article and answer the following question. What is the article about 2. Have students look at the pictures on page 70 and answer the following questions. What are these landscapes What do you know about them 3. Have students scan the article and finish Part A on page 71. 4. Have students scan the article again and finish Part B on page 71. 5. Have students analyse the style of the article and answer the following questions. Which person is used in the article Why does the writer write the article in this way Then have students read the tip on page 70 and get to know more about personification. Why does the writer use sentences like “How amazing!” and “What a beautiful name!” in the article Step 3 Reading and practising 1. Have students describe one of the four main landscapes according to the information in Part A on page 71. 2. Have students finish Part C on page 72. Step 4 Reading and innovating 1. Have students answer question 1 in Part D on page 72. 2. Have students work in groups and discuss question 2 in Part D on page 72. 3. Have students work in groups and discuss question 3 in Part D on page 72. Each group should write several sentences and then share their opinions in class.
