Have students look at the two pictures on page 58 and describe them. Have students read the rubrics and answer the following question. What type of text are they Have students read the poem “My dog” together and answer the following questions. What is the dog like Why does the writer think the dog is clever Have students read the poem “My cat” together and fill in the table below. Have students read the tip on page 58 and answer the following question.
