(他如此疲惫，以至于立刻睡着了。) It was such a hot day that we decided to go swimming. (天气非常热，以至于我们决定去游泳。) 二、 常见引导词及句型结构 结果状语从句主要由 so...that... 和 such...that... 引导，这两个结构的用法是重点和难点。 1. so...that... (如此...以至于...) so 是副词，后面修饰形容词或副词。 基本结构： 主语 + 谓语 + so + 形容词/副词 + that + 从句 The box is so heavy that I can't carry it. (这个箱子太重了，我搬不动。) 【so + 形容词 (heavy)】 He ran so quickly that he won the race. (他跑得如此快，以至于赢了比赛。) 【so + 副词 (quickly)】 特殊结构： so + many/few + 可数名词复数 so + much/little + 不可数名词 There are so many people that I can't find you. (人太多了，我找不到你。) He has so little money that he can't buy the book. (他的钱太少了，买不起这本书。) 2. such...that... (如此...以至于...) such 是形容词，后面修饰名词。 基本结构： 主语 + 谓语 + such (+ a/an) + (形容词) + 名词 + that + 从句 It was such a hot day that we went swimming. (天气非常热，以至于我们去游泳了。) 【such + a + 形容词 + 单数名词】 She is such a kind girl that everyone likes her. (她是一个如此善良的女孩，以至于每个人都喜欢她。) They are such kind girls that everyone likes them. (她们是如此善良的女孩，以至于每个人都喜欢她们。) 【such + 形容词 + 复数名词】 This is such delicious food that I want more. (这食物如此美味，我还想要更多。) 【such + 形容词 + 不可数名词】 3. that alone (单独使用that) 有时 that 可以单独引导结果状语从句，但通常前面主句会有一些提示词（如 never, rarely 等）。 What have I done that you should be so angry with me (我做了什么让你如此生我的气？) 三、 so...that... 与 such...that... 的转换 由于这两个结构意思相同，经常可以相互转换。 转换规则： such + a/an + 形容词 + 单数名词 = so + 形容词 + a/an + 单数名词 It was such a beautiful flower that I took a photo of it. = It was so beautiful a flower that I took a photo of it. (这花太美了，我给它拍了张照。) 注意： 这种转换只适用于单数可数名词。复数名词和不可数名词不能用 so 来转换。 (正确) They are such kind people. (他早起是为了能赶上头班车。) 【从句常含can/could/may/might等情态动词】 结果状语从句： He got up early, so that he caught the first bus.
