Teaching Procedures Step 1: Warm-up Students look at the pictures in 1a and answer: What do you see Which one is the tallest/fastest Step 2: Pre-Listening Activity 1: Students finish 1a. Activity 2: Students match adjectives (big, old, fast) to the plants/animals in 1a. Example: The blue whale is the heaviest. The cheetah is the fastest. Step 3: While-Listening Task 1 (1b):Listen and number the plants/animals in order. Task 2 (1c):Listen again and match superlatives (A-F) to the plants/ animals. Step 4: Post-Listening Pair Work (1d): Ask/answer questions using superlatives. -What’s amazing about the cheetah -It’s the fastest animal. Extension: Students add their own examples The panda is the cutest. Step 5: Speaking Practice Role-Play: In pairs, students act as "tour guides" describing amazing plants/animals. -Welcome to the forest!
