Happy Holiday Section A Period 3 Section A (3a-3c) Grammar教学设计 Textbook Analysis This text focuses on the use of somebody, someone, something, anybody, anyone, anything, everybody, everyone, everything, nobody, no one, nothing and infinitive adverbs. Through WeChat Moments, dialogues, listening materials, and role-playing activities, we present holiday-related vocabulary and core sentence patterns containing indefinite pronouns and indefinite adverbs. Students' Analysis Students have difficulty using indefinite pronouns and emotional adjectives. The usage of compound indefinite pronouns and indefinite adverb is easily confused. Teaching Objectives 1. Be able to recognize and master indefinite pronouns. 2. Be able to use indefinite pronouns in exercises such as grammar and sentence rewriting. 3. To combine classroom travel story continuation and other tasks. Key Points and Difficulties 1. To recognize and master indefinite pronouns. 2. To accurately use indefinite pronouns in exercises. 3. Be able to carry out creative communication and storytelling. Teaching Methods - Situational experiential teaching - Heuristic teaching - Task - based teaching game Teaching Procedures Step 1: Lead in - Teacher's Activities: 1. Present ss some pictures of other ss and lead ss to the topic of holiday. 2. Show a short dialogue from Period 2: "Did you do anything special " "Why do we use 'anything' here " "What about 'I tried something new' " - Students' Activities: Review the dialogue, observe the underlined words. Try to answer the teacher's questions. Design Intention: To smoothly kick off the lesson by connecting the topic (holidays) to students’ daily experiences through picture prompts. At the same time, it helps students recall the dialogue from the previous period and naturally draw their attention to indefinite pronouns, laying a gentle yet solid foundation for the new grammar content. Step 2: Grammar Focus Presentation - Teacher's Activities: Explain the definition of indefinite pronouns (formed by some / any / no / every + body / one / thing / where). Show a table to list categories (some-, any-, no-, every-) and encourage ss to get to know all the indefinite pronouns and adverbs. Lead ss to summarize usage rules in groups: subject - verb agreement, adjective post - position, and context differences (positive / negative / question sentences). - Students' Activities: Complete the exercise with indefinite pronouns. Design Intention: Guide students to build a clear understanding of indefinite pronouns and adverbs—starting with explaining their basic formation (some/any/no/every + body/one/thing/where) via a visual table, then encouraging group discussions to summarize core usage rules (subject-verb agreement, adjective post-position, and context-based choices for positive/negative/question sentences).
