When the snorkeling got a bit too cold, they took a ride on the Yellow Sea Scope Submarine, where they could watch fish without getting their feet or hair wet. The town of Sharm is relatively new. It was occupied by Israelis from 1967 to 1982, during which they developed it as a tourist destination. After being returned to Egypt, its growth continued.
