It tells the true story of Sudanese boys and girls. Park used this book to support a non-profit organization, Water for South Sudan. / n n pr f t/ adj. 非盈利的 / su d ni z/ adj. 苏丹的 A chapter to start with The story is about a boy named Salva who is separated from his family during a war in South Sudan. For hours, until the sun was nearly gone from the sky. Other people were walking, too. He felt sick at the thought of those men—first dying in such a terrible way, and then having even their dead bodies eaten by animals. A Long Walk to Water v. 被吸引向 / beri/ v. 埋葬 1 How heartbreaking! 2 be reduced to sth If he were older and stronger, would he have given water to those men Or would he, like most of the group, have kept his water for himself A Long Walk to Water 3 What would I do in a similar situation It was the group’s third day in the desert. By sunset, they would be out of the desert, and after that, it would not be far to the Itang refugee camp in Ethiopia.
