What way does Li Ming like to study 2. What logical words does he use in his words 3. How does he express his opposite idea to Wang Mei’s Group B: 1. What way does Wang Mei like to study 2. How does she support her idea Li Ming likes self-study. Logical words: “Here’s why”, “Besides”. Express opposite idea: Say “I respectfully disagree. Here’s why” first, then list self-study advantages and group-study drawbacks. Wang Mei likes group study. Support idea: Mention group study enables cooperation, sharing, better understanding; alone study may cause laziness or distraction. Summarize the structure of the debate. Start-up: Teacher (Ms Liu) initiates the debate, assigning pairs (Li Ming & Wang Mei) to argue about the best learning ways. Arguments: Li Ming (for self-study): States self-study helps focus on materials, gives full control of learning environment (like choosing music, time, place). Wang Mei (for group study): Claims group study enables teamwork, idea-sharing, better topic understanding, and helps focus and stay motivated. Rebuttals: Each disagrees with the other’s view, restating their own stances with reasons.
