When the film ended, the people went back. 状语从句 ②when的特殊用法 when意为“正在这时”，表示某件事正在发生或刚刚发生时，突然发生另一动作。常见句型有: 主语+be about to do...when...: 刚要做某事，这时(突然)... 主语+be doing...when...: 正在做某事，这时(突然)... 主语+be on the point of doing...when... 正在做某事，这时(突然)... 主语+had just done ... when...: 刚做完某事，这时(突然)... 状语从句 ③while引导的动作必须是持续性的，侧重主句动作和从句动作相对比 Please don’t talk so loud while others are working. While I was wondering at this, our schoolmaster took his place. ④ as引导一个持续性动作，多用于主句和从句动作同时发生，可译为“一边...一边...; 随着...” He hurried home, looking behind as he went. As time goes by, it’s getting warmer and warmer. 状语从句 ⑤若主句表示的是短暂动作，而从句用延续性动词的进行时态表示在一段时间内正在进行的动作时，when，as与while可互换使用 When/While/As I was walking down the street, I came across an old friend of mine. 状语从句 引导时间状语从句的从属连词 (2) 表示“一...就...”的常用句式 as soon as, immediately, directly, instantly, the moment, the minute, the instant, no sooner...than..., hardly/scarcely...when... , once(一旦) 状语从句 注意: no sooner...than...和hardly/scarcely...when...是固定搭配，同时还要注意时态搭配: no sooner与hardly/scarcely引导的主句谓语动词用过去完成时(had done)，而than与when的从句中谓语动词用一般过去时(did)。此外，当把no sooner和hardly/scarcely提到句首时,用倒装 I had hardly got home when it began to rain. ＝Hardly had I got home when it began to rain. 状语从句 引导时间状语从句的从属连词 (3) till, until(直到...)和not...until...(直到...才...) ①肯定句: 主句谓语动词必须是延续性动词，主从句都为肯定式，意为“某动作一直延续到某点时间才停止” He remained there until / till she arrived. 状语从句 ②否定句: 主句谓语动词必须是非延续性动词，从句为肯定式，意为“某动作直到某时间才开始” He won’t go to bed till (until) she returns. ③till不可以置于句首，而until可以。 Until you told me I had no idea of it. 状语从句 引导时间状语从句的从属连词 (4) before和since ①before表示“还未...就...”,“不到...就...”,“...才...”,“趁还没来得及...就...”, “在...之前” We had sailed four days and four nights before we saw land. 状语从句 引导时间状语从句的从属连词 (4) before和since ②since表示“自从”，常与句式: It is + 时间段+ since...:“ 自从...多久了”，从句的动词可以是延续性/ 非延续性表 ... ...
