教学设计 单元名称 Book 1 Unit 5 Into the wild Animal idioms and Debating about animals 教学目标 After the class, the students will be able to: Learn and know idioms concerning animals. Know the basic information about how to organize a debate. Improve their listening skills and learn more about listening strategies. Know the expressions used in a debate--showing agreement and disagreement. 教学重难点 How to get them instructed of the knowledge of a debate and also how to organize a debate with proper and accurate expressions. How to improve their cognition and develop correct value towards animals living harmoniously with humans. 教具/学具准备 多媒体课件*** 学习目标 活动形式与步骤 活动意图 活动层次 核心素养提升点 The students can have some fun while learning the idioms concerning animals and know how to put them into practical use. Pre-listening Activity1: Teachers demonstrates pictures of animals and guides the Ss to complete the idioms with animal names. Activity 2: Teacher guides Ss to complete the paragraph with the animal idioms in Activity 4 on Page 71. Activity 3: Ss brainstorm more animal idioms and describe a situation with one of them Activity 4: T leads Ss to read Did You Know before listening, so that Ss can be aware of the relationship between humans and domesticated animals. 学生输入和动物相关的语言知识。 学生在语篇中运用习得的英语习语。 学生实现语言知识和思 维能力的迁移,提高恰 当运用英语表达个人观点的能力。 学生能了解家养动物和人类之间的关系,继而了解听力中关于动物是否应该关在动物园的辩论主题。 注意与感知 获取与梳理 文化意识 思维品质 The students are supposed to have a command of the structure of a debate and how to organize a debate. While-listening Activity 5: Teacher leads Ss to read Learning to learn before listening. Activity 6: Teacher guides Ss to listen to the TV debate and choose the correct topic in Activity 7. Activity 7: Teacher asks Ss to listen again and complete the mind map in Activity 8. 学生能够拓展与话题相 关的背景知识,为听力做好准备。 学生听第一遍录音,获取大意。训练学生抓取主旨大意的能力。 学生听第二遍录音,整理双方观点。通过听力,再次感知辩论的形式,以及注意听力文中的表述,为后面的输出活动做准备。 获取与梳理 概括与整合 语言知识 学习能力 The students can summarize what they have learned from the listening materials and put them into practical use, by organizing a debate, also containing similar theme. Post-listening Activity 8: Ss take notes of the expressions of agreement and disagreement in the listening material, and share in class. Ss listen again if necessary. Activity 9: Teacher guides Ss to think and share whether they should keep animals as pets. Activity 10: Ss work in pairs and hold the debate on whether they should keep animals as pets using sentences expressing agreement and disagreement. Activity 11: Teacher leads Ss to think of another topic that is related to animals and hold a debate using sentences expressing agreement and disagreement. T gives Ss an example topic, e.g. Should we keep sheep, ... ...
