She was large and an unusual color for a wolf ——— reddish. Next to her were two males. One was a large gray wolf who wanted the she-wolf as a mate. On her right side was another, older wolf, called One Eye. He was blind in his left eye. And he，too，wanted her as a mate. 一只母狼屹立在狼群的最前面。她体型硕大，毛色泛着微红———这颜色于狼而言很不寻常。她的身侧站立着两只公狼。其中一头是一只大灰狼，他希望这只母狼能成为他的配偶。她的右侧是另一只年长些的狼，江湖人称独眼狼，因为他的左眼瞎了。他也希望她成为自己的伴侣。 They ran all that day, through the night, and the next day. The world was frozen and dead.Only the wolves were alive, and they were looking for other living things to eat and so continue to live. 他们已经东奔西走了一整个白天，一整个夜晚，第二天还在继续奔跑。世界被冰封印着，到处死气沉沉。只有狼还活着，他们一直在寻找其他的生物来进食，以便能继续生存下去。 Finally, they found a big moose. They were so hungry that the whole pack attacked him. He fought hard, kicking and hitting the wolves with his large antlers. But there were too many wolves for him and in the end they killed him and ate him immediately. There was meat for each wolf. She found one near a stream. It was dry and warm. She looked around carefully, and she decided that this was the right place. This was her lair. She lay down.
