Scientists are now developing "living bricks" that have the potential to revolutionize construction and environmental protection. These bricks are made by mixing sand, gel, and cyanobacteria (蓝藻). The bacteria can undergo photosynthesis (光合作用), absorbing carbon dioxide from the air and producing oxygen. More impressively, when a brick is split in half, the cyanobacteria can help regenerate new bricks from the broken pieces, much like a living organism healing a wound.
