新人教版八年级下册英语Unit 1 Time to Relax单元教学设计 第一课时 Section A(1a-2d) 【教学分析】 教学内容 1.谈论空闲时间的活动。 2.借助听力、对话练习,掌握描述空闲活动的词汇及表达,理解活动相关对话内容。 核心素养 1.学生能通过听力练习捕捉关键信息,完成句子填空、内容匹配等任务,理解对话含义。 2.学生能够运用所学句型,与同伴交流自己的空闲活动及参与原因,提升口语表达与交流能力。 3.学生能感知不同空闲活动的表述,积累词汇,提升英语语言知识运用能力。 重点难点 重点:掌握空闲活动相关词汇与表达,运用句型交流空闲时间如何度过。 难点:听力中准确抓取信息,灵活运用词汇、句型进行真实语境对话交流。 【教学过程】 Step 1 Lead-in Ask students what they often do in their free time. Share teacher’s own hobbies with the students and lead in the topic: How do you spend your free time Step 2 Work on 1a Ask students to match the activities with the pictures in 1a. The answers are:BEFACD. Have students read the words and phrases together. Step 3 Work on 1b Read the following four sentences. Ask the students to guess the missing words. Listen to the audio and fill in the blanks. After listening, discuss the answers and correct the misunderstandings. Read the four sentences together loudly. Step 4 Work on 1c Ask students to listen to the audio again. Then have students match the purposes with the statements from 1b. After listening, discuss the answers:3—A;4—B; 2—C;1—D and correct the misunderstandings. Step 5 Work on 1d Pair students up. Model the conversation with two students using the target structures. Give them time to practise the conversation using the example. Encourage them to use their own words and creativity. Step 6 Work on 2a Ask students to look at the following pictures and find out what the challenges of doing these two activities are. Encourage students to share their ideas. Step 7 Work on 2b Ask students to read all the items in 2b carefully. Explain the meaning of the difficult phrases to ensure they understand each option. Play the audio. Instruct students to tick the items they hear. Play the audio again for students to check their answers and explain why those items are mentioned in the conversation. Step 8 Work on 2c Have students read the sentences in 2c. Ask them to predict the missing words based on the context. Play the audio once more. Students listen and fill in the blanks. After listening, check the answers. Ask students to read the sentences aloud. Step 9 Work on 2d Ask students to imitate the given sentence patterns to talk about how they felt when they did their free-time activities for the first time, and also share the teacher’s experiences. Step 10 Summary Recap today’s lesson, with emphasis on the conversations about free-time activities and the purposes of free-time activities.
