Unit 7 Space exploration：Reading教学设计 教学内容 First thoughts（p. 99），Reading（pp. 100–101），Reading comprehension（p. 102） 主要语篇 Life in space 教学目标 通过本课的学习，学生能够： 认读和理解与太空话题相关的单词与短语。 根据插图、标题和小标题等内容，预测主阅读篇章的内容。 运用扫读等阅读策略，理解文章的主旨大意，并对文章内容形成更深入的理解和认识。 对宇航员在太空站的工作与生活有更深入的了解，对太空探索产生浓厚的兴趣。 教学重点 通过小标题提炼语篇结构，了解主阅读篇章的内容。 2. 学习与“太空生活”有关的核心单词和短语。 教学难点 对比在地球上与在太空中生活与工作的异同。 使用英语表达对“太空生活”的观点和看法。 【单元课前预习】 课前预习： 引导学生基于课本第99页First thoughts板块的思维导图，思考以下问题： （1）What is it like to live and work in space （2）Why is space junk a problem （3）How can we explore space （4）What do you know about the development of China’s space station 鼓励学生在课前观看有关宇航员在太空中工作和生活的视频，或上网搜索并阅读相关文章，引导他们关注太空探索，并尝试分享了解到的相关信息。 【教学过程】 Step 1 引入话题，激活词汇 学生观看the universe, astronaut, spacesuit, experiment, surface, get into orbit, space station等单词的相关图片，并猜测词义，激活太空探索相关话题词汇。 Step 2 自由讨论 学生观看一则宇航员在天宫空间站工作和生活的英文短视频，直观感受空间站的基本情况，教师通过“What is it like to live and work in space ”这一问题引入话题。 学生结合课本第100页活动1的短语和图片，借助以下范例进行讨论： S1: What can you see in the pictures S2: I can see ...（space, the Earth, Tiangong space station, astronaut） S1: What can astronauts do on the Tiangong space station S2: They can ...
