    Part One Starting out Study of the Text What: The text centres on the topic of “Career talks”. It introduces different types of jobs, presents pictures of people in various occupations (such as a police officer and a dentist), and raises questions to guide students in exploring occupations. Its goals are to enable students to learn how to talk about jobs, apply relevant grammar(the passive voice) to describing work-related stories, and understand the role of work in people’s life.
