Explain the meaning of “sports day”Present the words “race, won a prize, first, second, third.”Ask individual student, “Did you run “Tell them in this unit they are going to read about the sports day at Ken and Ann’s school.At first, let them read the story by themselves.Then have them talk about the story and then describe what they saw in each picture.Play the recorder Let them open the books and find out the new pare the wordsone-first, two-second,three-third, four-fourth…Ask them describe their seats. Eg: I am first. Sing the song together.Ss talk their sports day last year.They can say their sports day using the words that the teacher gave.That student answers with “Yes, I did. No, I didn’t.”Open the book and read the dialogue of the story.Say sth about the story.Learn the story one picture by one picture.Listen to the tape.
