Get the general idea of the passage with the help of your reference book. 教学反思：牛津英语教学是以任务型学习为基础，以学生为主体，培养学生语言交际能力的新型教学模式。 牛津英语的教学理念是以学生为主体进行学习，在老师教学过程中要注重与学生的交流，让学生去学会学习，调动和发挥学生的主体性，培养他们的语言交际能力。在教学过程中，注重与学生的交流，开展以学生为中心的互动式教学。本课时是Chapter5的第一课时，可以看作是Chapter5的读前热身活动。我在备课时注重的是有效激活学生的已有知识，充分调动学生对本章节的学习兴趣，为后面几个课时的学习做好铺垫。如在上新课前我依据课文的主要内容和篇章结构设置一些导向性的课堂提问Do you know anything about dinosaurs Do you know anything about Diogenes Do you know anything about Walt Disney 通过提问引导学生对课文内容进行预测和讨论，激活学生相关的知识网络，使学生产生强烈的阅读课文的愿望,同时给学生进行必要的背景知识介绍帮助学生顺利地阅读 Chapter5 课文并开拓学生的视野，扩大他们的知识面。我又在网上找了几则英语小故事“Mickey Mouse And Donald Duck.”，“Snow White”及Three Pigs Build A House通过英语故事的阅读与复述进一步培养学生学习英语的兴趣及语言表达能力。 一、优点及可取之处： 1．激励机制。，积极鼓励发言，动脑运用英语。 2. 创设各种情景，鼓励学生大胆地使用英语，对他们在学习过程中的失误和错误采取 宽容的态度。 3．鼓励学生通过体验、实践、合作、探索等方式，发展听、说、读、写的综合能力。 ... ...
