    Unit 9 What does he look like? Section A (1a-1c)教学设计 彭城中心校 庞艳玲 【教学目标】 1. 学习并掌握新单词:height ,tall, build, heavy, thin, medium, curly, straight . 2. 熟练运用描述人物外貌特征的句型: --What does he/she look like --He/She has... . He/She is... . 3. 能够捕捉重要听力信息,提升听力技能。 4. 积极尝试用英语与他人进行交流,并学会在人际交往中尊重和理解别人,切不可以貌取人。 【教学重难点】 What does he/she look like He/She is.... He/She has.... 【教学准备】 制作1a-1c的课件;明星图片;教学设计;学案 【教学过程】 Step 1:Warm-up and Learning aims. Warm-up and then show the learning aims on PPT to help ss know what they will learn this class. 【设计思路】从复习家庭成员的名称入手,并用已经学过的形容词对家庭成员进行简单的描述。进而自然地过渡到本单元的话题,这样以旧带新能帮助学生扩展思维。 Step 2:Presentation and Leading in Show some pictures of famous people to present the new words. T:Lead the students to answer the question and write down the new words on the blackboard : Ss: Answer the question with the help of the teacher . 【设计思路】 用学生喜欢的明星照片引出新词汇,加深学生对单词的感性认识,调动学生识记单词的兴趣。 通过读板书的新词汇,为下一步的对话做好有力的铺垫。 Step 3:1a 1.Learn the new words about people’s looks in 1a. 2.Match the words with the people in the picture, finish 1a, then check the answer. 【设计思路】多次重复诵读单词,强化单词的记忆。简单的单词游戏既调动了学生的学习积极性又强化了单词记忆。 Step4:1b Listen and finish 1b, then check the answers. 【设计思路】学生听录音,根据人物的外貌特征,找到Amy的朋友,复述他长什么样(tall,curly)。 Step5:Chant &Guessing game A chant-Describe the students’ looks. 2)Guessing game- Describe peole’s looks , others guess who he/she is. 【设计思路】通过绕口令的练习,从学生的自我描述中检测他们对所学知识的熟练程度。然后,两两进行对话练习,其余学生通过对话信息猜测所描述的对象。这样设计能够有效地调动所有学生的积极性,将课堂气氛推向高潮,达到预期的目的!
