Module 2 Unit 3 Traditional skills 教案 课题 Unit3 Traditional skills 课型 Reading 课时 第 1 课时,共 4 课时 教学目标 1.Students can master how to pronounce the new words and master the meanings of the words . 2.Let students know more about the traditional skills. 3.To master some usages of some useful expressions and develop an ability of how to get a further understanding of the text. 4.Develop the reading ability and speaking skills 教学重点 know something about the traditional skill which use the cormorants to catch fish. 教学难点 to imagine how to use cormorants to catch fish. Find out more traditional skills in China. 教学准备 PPT, Blackboard 教学环节 Step I: Pre-reading Look at the cartoon and answer some questions. To arouse the interest and lead them to get into the topic of this unit. 2 .Talk about some tradition skills in China. Finish A part. Step II: While-reading Procedure 1.Read the text quickly and let the students get the general idea of the text. 2.Scan the first paragraph and complete the table. 3.Read the second paragraph and fill in the blanks. 4.Read the third paragraph and fill in the blanks. 5.Read the fourth paragraph and answer the questions. Step III: after-reading Read the passage again,pay attention to new words and phrases in this passage. Explain some language points. Do some exercises. Step IV: Reading comprehension. Read the text in details and finish the blank filling exercise in a sheet, then check the answers . Step V: Discussion Students work in groups and discuss the following questions. a.Is cormorant fishing a good way to catch fish Why b.Is cormorant fishing easy to learn Why c.What jobs do most young people choose to do today d.What do you think of the future of cormorant fishing 2.show some more traditional skill which may disappear in the future.Work in groups and discuss the questions.
