Show the two different pictures of classroom(tidy and messy) to practice in pairs； 4. Present the picture about Gogo( It’s the first time for him to come to China. Here is a letter for his mother) Ask students to read it two times； 5.What is the letter talking about 6.Learn the letter( form and contents) 1.Students answer the question about the pictures: It was messy this morning. The books were on the floor. 2. Students answer : It is tidy now. The books are on the desk. 3. Students practice the pictures in pairs and show them on the stage； 4. Students read the letter silently by themselves and underline the past tense in red and check in pairs； 5. Students discuss it； 6. Students learn the letter； 学生从人物Gogo的两张卧室图片入手，操练基本句型 What is /was the bedroom like today/yesterday It is/was… are/were …学生结合两张教室的图片来进行巩固；接以人物Gogo去了中国，给妈妈写信反映中国的天气、衣服和建筑物，用昨天（过去式）和今天(现在时)进行对比来描写；
