Have a dictation. Step 2 Warming- up and Lead-in Greeting as usual Have a game “Let’s guess”. According to a short passage to guess a thing (a clock). Show the students a short video to lead to the sentence “ what time is it?” Step 3 Presentation and work on 1a Show the students eight pictures about clock, and ask the students “what time is it?”, then ask the students to give me the answers one by one. Summary the ways of expressing time. According to another group of pictures to learn the new words and phrases. Match the activities with the picture .Ask one student to give us the answers, and read the 1a together. Step4 Work on 1b Listen and match the times with the actions. Ask one student to give us the answers and read the conversations together. Listen again and then ask all the students to have a dictation. And the check the answers by themselves. Step 5 Pair work Show the student one sample of the conversation and give the students 3 minutes to practice the conversation with their partners.
