    教学设计 一、教材分析: The theme topic of this module is humor, including the ability to think that makes it funny and makes people laugh. After the revision, Students will be optimistic when meeting with difficulties. 二、学生分析: The students are very active and interested in the topic of humor. But some of them are lack of some good habits of reading. 三、教学目标: I. Knowledge aims a) Master some important words and phrases, such as: astonishing, failure… b) Understand the passage better. c) Skim for the needed information and grasp the details from the text. II. Ability aims a) Enable the students to talk about humor. b) To train the Ss' abilities of self-learning and cooperation. III. Moral aims Make Ss optimistic(乐观的) no matter what difficulties you meet with 四、教学重难点 I. Important points a) learning the new words and phrases. b) Improving their reading skills. II. Difficult points a) Improving their reading skills, such as skimming and scanning. b) Talking about English humor. 教学方法: ?I. Communicative language teaching ?II. Task-based language teaching 教学手段: 1、多媒体辅助:将本课所需要的视频、图片、文字等制成PPT课件使抽象的语言变得直观,为学生运用英语进行交际创设情景。 2、非测试性评价:传统的评价观念的出发点是学科本位,只重学科,不重学生发展。 要体现新课程标准的实施效果,评价体系应该“正确反映外语学习的本质和过程,满足学生发展的需要”。为了达到这一目标,唯有重视形成性评价,充分发挥其积极作用,促进新的评价体系的形成。因此,本课我将各种活动设计成小组活动并开展小组竞赛等非测试性评价手段,帮助学生学会自主学习,学会与人合作,培养创新意识以及具备科学的价值观。 七、教学过程 Step I. Show some pictures of humor performance 设计意图:通过名人的话和图片激发学生学习的兴趣,从学生已知的幽默形式使学生明白语言在一些幽默形式的载体,并由此导入陌生的无声幽默形式,并由此引出本节课话题:A master of nonverbal humor Step II. Reading 一 Skimming Task 1: Choose the right answers to the questions: What’s the passage mainly about? A. The history of English humor? B. The films Chaplin made. C. The humor Chaplin made in his films. D. The Gold Rush in California. Task2: Read the passage quickly and match the main idea of each paragraph. Paragraph 1: A: an example of a sad situation that he made funny Paragraph 2: B: his achievements Paragraph 3: C: what Charlie’s childhood was like. Paragraph 4: D: what his most famous character was like Paragraph 5: E: why people needed cheering up. Task 3 Born Job Famous character Costume 装束 Type of acting Died 设计意图:任务一是快速限时阅读,把阅读课文作为整体来处理,检查学生对课文中的事实的表层理解,养成良好的阅读习惯,提高阅读技能。本环节难度不高,即便学困生也能完成此任务 成功给人以最大的满足,产生自豪感,提高了学习兴趣。学习速读技巧,浏览全文,抓住关键信息。通过速读训练可以引导学生掌握速读技巧,迅速把握文章结构和大意,为下一步的细读打下基础。 二.
