Talk and write. Read Li Ming's description of the pictures they took in the Imperial Palace. Emphasize the following verb: look (present tense. Li Ming now lets you see the picture. Were, went, had (past tense). Li Ming is telling you what happened when they visited the Imperial Palace. Now, the students draw a picture of their own in the blank of "my picture" on the right. Then, write a picture of what they do when they take a picture. It can be anything the student wants to write. At least three sentences are written in the usual past tense. Step 4.
