S: Finger/Daddy/Mommy/Brother… T: Yes. We can see a finger family. Finger family are our good friends. Today , Miss Chen will introduce you a new family. Let’s go. Step two: Presentation Welcome to “r” family. Let’s see who are they. They’re: ar, ir, er, or and ur. Wow , five members. Let’s go and recognize them. Word with “er”, let’s read them together: water, tiger, computer, dinner--er/?/ Where is “er”? Here, in the word “sister”. Sister is a girl. The girl has a bird. The girl has a shirt. The shirt is dirty. Haha! “ir” comes! Let’s go and read the words with “ir”: girl, dirty, bird, shirt--“ir”/ ?:/ Where is “ir”? Here, in the word “sir”. Sir is hurt. Sir need a nurse. Can you see a nurse? No! I see a hamburger! Look at the words with “ur”: hamburger, hurt, nurse, turn--“ur” / ?:/ Turn, turn, turn, turn to “or” Rule1: “or” after w, sounds / ?:/ Try to read the words with “or”. Rule2: Most of the time, or sounds /??/ “r” family want to visit their little uncle. The farm is far away. They must go across the river, pick enough apples and across the mountain. Can you help them? Read the words, go across the river. What do the “r” family see on the way to the mountain? Ball, wall, tall, mall--al /??/ It’s getting dark. Now we can see nothing.
