Enable the students to know how to write a composition after reading a similar one. 2.Ability Aims: Know how to get some information about the structures, transition words from the sample article, and then write your own composition by using what we have learned. 3.Emotion Aims Understand the importance of writing. Let students learn to share their learning skills with their friends who have trouble in learning English. 教 学 重难点 Important points: 1) Enable students to master and memorize some good ways of learning English. 2) Learn some useful sentence patterns, structures, and transition words from the sample article. Difficult points: 1) learn some useful sentence patterns, structures, and transition words from the sample article, and use them to finish their own compositions. 2) How to write a three-paragraph-composition. 辅助工具 (1)the multimedia (2 ) a blackboard 教学方法 Double activities teaching method Question-and-answer activity teaching method Free discussion method 教 与 学 教学过程 设计意图 Step1 Lead-in 1)Let students think about “Do you know any ways of learning English?”, then present a mind map. 2)Let students think about this question from the following four aspects: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Divide students into listening group, speaking group, reading group, and writing group, each group should take charge of corresponding content, then discuss the content with their group members by looking at some pictures. 利用思维导图来激发学生的思维,通过观看图片思考讨论的形式来复习学习英语的方式,为后期的写作做铺垫。 Step 2 Pre-writing 1)After discussion,choose one student from each group. And let them say the way that picture represents. (one point for one correct expression) 2)Make a summary about all the ways of learning English that mentioned above, and read it fluently. 3)Play a game called “memory challenge”. Merge the previous 4 groups into two big groups, give them 3minutes to memorize these 11ways of learning English, finally let them say what they memorized one by one, but no repetition. (The group that accumulates the most wins) 4) Let students know if they master these ways of learning English, they’ll be good English learners. Step 3. While-writing. 1) Introduce a girl--Mary, a girl who has troubles in English learning. So her three best friends write three letters to her. Let students read three letters and think about which letter is the best. 2) Let a volunteer come to the blackboard to make a choice and tell the reason why it is the best. 2) Present the structures, sentence patterns, transition words after analyzing the best letter. 3) Enable students think about “How to write a three-paragraph-composition”, let a student match the content with the part, and then present some useful sen ... ...
