Put on the masks and animals. e.g., T: Moo…Moo… I’m a cow. Tell the class that they are going to learn how to make a mask. Activity 2 Put some pictures of the farm animals on the blackboard. Then introduce the names of the farm animals to the students. e.g., T: Look! Here’s the farm. We can see many farm animals. It’s a pig. It goes “Oink…Oink…” It’s a duck. It goes “Quack…Quack…” While-task procedures Activity 1 Demonstrate the procedure for making a mask step by step. Encourage the students to repeat after you and follow your actions. e.g., T: Draw. Activity 2 Have the students practise the words chick, pig, duck and cow, with the help of pictures, toys or your body language. e.g., T: (Points to the toy chick) Chick. I see a chick. Ss: Chick.
