Nice to meet you! Before our class,Let’s review the last lesson. First words ,secondly sentences. (Justification:This step will help ss review the last lesson .) Step 2 Pre-listening(5mins) Step 1:T show some pictures about the dialogue. And let Ss guess the story. T:Where are they? S1:They maybe in the London Marathon. T:Are there many people here? S2: Yes,there are. T:Do you know anyone here? S3: Yes, I know Paul. ... (Justification:This step will lead in the key words help ss understand the dialogue.) Step 3 While-listening(10mins) T Show some questions on the computer screen. Think about these questions while listening. Listen to the record twice or three times. ◎Is the note Jack's? ◎Is the note Daisy's? ◎Whose note is this? ◎Whose handwriting is it? ◎Is the date on the list Tuesday,17th April? Watch the video and answer again. ◎What does the note look like? ◎What day is the 'to-do' list for? ◎Is Paul's training run at 4 o'clock? ◎When dose Paul pick Claire up from college? (Justification:This step will both improve the students’ listening and speaking abilities.) Step 4 Post-listening (20mins) New words and expressions.First let ss pronounce the new words themselves. And then correct the mistakes. (Justification:This step will improve the students’ spelling ability.) Step 5 Practise (5mins) T ask ss to do a fast-reaction about the new words. (Justification:This step will help to check whether the ss grasp the key words better.) Step 6 Intensive reading and Grammar (35mins) T Read the dialogue again and ask the Ss to underline the difficult words and phrase. In order to practise their ability to think, the teacher will encourage them to analyse the text by themselves first and then give them explanations.
