Ability objectives: Ss could understand the simple instructions such as stand up, sit down, look right/left/down/ up, bend down, cross your arms... Teaching Approach Inducing-mode teaching Teaching procedures Step 1 Warm-up(5mins) T:Good afternoon, everyone. It’s great to see you all again. Now let’s play a game. It’s called “Little commander”. Just follow my instructions. For example, if I say sit down , you should sit down. Have you got it? ... Now do opposite actions to my instructions. ... (Justification:This step will warm up the class and develop a good relationship.) Step 2 Review(5mins) Greeting: Good morning, class! Nice to meet you! How are you doing? Now before our class, I’d like you to review our last lesson. T shows ss some pictures about shop, school, bus stop, farm and so on. (Justification:This step will help ss review the learned words.) Step 3 New sentences (40mins) T shows some pictures about the simple instructions to the ss. T:Look, What are they doing? Look up/left/right/Bend down/Cross your arms... T say the commands and do the actions. Have the class listen and follow the teacher. (Justification:This step will elicit the new sentences and help ss remember them.) Step 4 Practise (20mins) Ss work in pairs to practise the sentences. And then let the students perform one pair by another and choose the best. (Justification:This step will help ss remember the sentences well.) Step 5 Production (15mins) T:Now let’s play a game.Who wants to be the little commander. He has the right to order others. ...
