(They are fishing.) Have they caught any fish? (Yes, they have.) What is Lo doing? (He is putting a cross on one side of the boat.) Why is Lo doing this? (He wants to mark the spot.) Will his idea work? Why? (No,it won’t. Because the boat will move away.) First, he (3) ties a piece of grass around their necks to stop them from eating big fish. Then, when Wang Damin’s boat (4) reaches the right place in the river , he pushes the cormorants into the river. Wang Damin used several ways to attract fish: During the day, (5) he jumps up and down on his boat . After dark, (6) he hangs a light on a post at the front of the boat .
