Lesson 34 Modern Olympics 教学目标: 1.懂得运用本课介绍奥运会的重点词或短语:peace,stand for 2.表达现代奥运会的句型:…the Olympic symbol is always the same.The Olympic slogan,for example,is created by the host city…The Olympic songs are always popular around the world. 3.形容词和副词的比较级和最高级的用法。 重点难点: 1.正确使用本课关于现代奥运会的词:modern,motto,spirit,slogan,feature 2.懂得介绍现代奥运会的情况:…the Olympic symbol is always the same.The Olympic slogan,for example,is created by the host city…The Olympic songs are always popular around the world. 3.知道重点句型:In the modern Olympics,some things are the same no matter which country is hosting,and some things change.The blue ring stands for Europe.It touched many people’s hearts.But one thing has always been the same—to do the best and to compete fairly. 教学思路: 本课时的教学内容是冀教版八年级下册英语第六单元的第四课时,主要涉及现代奥运会的介绍。在授课之前先让学生自己说一说自己看过的奥运会的情况,也可以上网查询现代奥运会的具体情况。课上可以通过让学生小组合作的形式进行相互交流;然后教师通过幻灯片、图片向学生展示现代奥运会的情况,并让学生用英语简单介绍现代奥运会。 教学准备: 设计教学PPT,录音机,多媒体,图片和单词卡片。 教学过程: StepⅠ.Lead in Leading in 【情景1】 Discuss the following questions: T:Hello,boys and girls.Do you know of modern Olympics? Ss:Yes/No. T:Which mascot do you like best? S1:Fuwa. S2:Miga. T:What do you think is the same in every Olympics? S3:The Olympic symbol. S4:The Olympic motto. S5:The Olympic torch. S6:The Olympic slogan. S7:The Olympic song. Discuss the questions in groups.The teacher shows some pictures about the Olympics.Ask the students to talk for three minutes.Then let them present their talk in class.
