Each team chooses a slip from the bag. Set a time limit of five minutes. Each team writes as many sentences and reasons as they can. When time is up, collect their answers.? 3.Each team gets one point for each correct sentence and one point for each correct reason. The team which gets the most points wins the game.? Step 2 Reading (3a)? 1.Point to the picture of 3a and ask students to describe it. 2.Ask a student to read the poem to the class.? 3.Get the students to underline the sentences using the passive voice of modal verbs individually. As they are doing this, move around the classroom answering any questions students raise about the poem and offering language support as needed.? 4.Have the students read the poem again and remind them to find the languages and try to understand them with the help of the other students or the dictionary. Then the whole class have a summary.? Step 3 Questions to the poem.(3b)? Have the students read and try to answer the questions.? Step 4 Pair Work(3c)? 1.Ask students to think about a time that he/she did something even though his/her mom or dad told him or her not to do it. Try to list as many topics as they can.? 2.Ask each of the students to get one of their favorite topics.? 3.Get students to answer the questions in 3c individually, to form the answers into a story. Then share their stories with their partners.? 4.Invite some students to share stories with the classmates.? Step 5 Homework What did your mother do when you were a small child? Write a short passage.
