Unit 3 Period 1 教学内容 Getting ready (p. 29)，Reading (pp. 30–31)，Vocabulary C1，C2 (p. 32)，Comprehension D1 (p. 33) 教学目标 语言知识 1. 认读和理解单词 burn， Earth，energy，field，ground，important，kill，land，large，must，part，pollute， pollution，protect，provide 以及短语 provide ... with ...， put ... into 等。 2. 使用There is/are ... 的句式表达“某个时间或地方‘存在’某人或某物”。 语言技能 1. 使用句式 There is/are ... 句式介绍地球上存在的事物。 2. 关注海报类文体的文本特征，掌握相关阅读技巧。 3. 根据图片、关键词及重点句式复述主阅读篇章。 情感态度 通过对地球现状的了解，树立保护地球的意识。 教学重点 了解主阅读篇章的结构、关键信息以及核心词汇。 教学难点 根据图片、关键词及重点句式复述主阅读篇章。 教学过程 Step 1 阅读 Getting ready 板块的图文，了解单元话题。 学生观察教材第 29 页的卡通图，通过 Hi 和 Lo 两个卡通人物之间幽默的对话，了解卡通图含义和单元话题。 Step 2 开展“头脑风暴”，丰富“地球”之相关背景知识。 1. 学生完成 What do you know about ...? 部分A1 的选词填空练习。认读和理解单词 Earth。 2. 教师通过演示地球的卫星图，介绍地球上各个色块所代表的地貌特征。学生完成 A2 的练习，认读和理解单词 part，land 等。 3. 教师提问 What things are there on Earth?，鼓励学生合理展开想像。教师以“蛛网图”的形式将学生所想到的内容罗列在黑板上。 Step 3 初步了解主阅读篇章的内容。 1. 教师呈现教材第31 页主阅读篇章的标题以及 4 幅图片，学生预测主阅读篇章所谈论的话题，并思考 Before you read 部分的第 1 题 What is the poster about?，认读和理解单词 protect。 2. 教师呈现主阅读篇章中间 4 段文字的关键词，要求学生把文字介绍与图片配对，并思考 Before you read 部分的第 2 题 What things are there on Earth?。指导学生用 There is/are ... 的句型完整回答问题。学生认读和理解单词 field， large， pollution，pollute 等。 3. 学生以小组活动形式将配好对的图片与文字进行排序，并从文中找出正确排序的理由，例如：第 2 段与第 3 段不可互换，因为在第 3 段中有 also 一词。学生认读和理解单词 important 等。 4. 学生在教师的引导下归纳出海报的特点。例如： ? Pictures about the topic ? Clear words about the topic ? A logical layout Step 4 深入理解主阅读篇章的内容。 1. 学生细读主阅读篇章，通过是非判断题深入理解篇章内容，在作出判断后从文中找出依据。 ? The weather in different places on Earth is different（.
