It always seemed as if they would get married. 4. lonely孤独的，寂寞的。?Alone?与lonely比较：alone既可作副词也可作形容词，常在句中作表语和状语，说明客观存在。?lonely形容词，常在句中作表语、定语，侧重人的心理。 5. because of?因为，由于，介词短语，后跟名词或相当于名词的短语。because后跟状语从句。 重点知识点 重点语法--系动词 状态系动词只有be一词，表示主语状态、性质、特征。 ?He is a teacher.???
