Tom is not a child any more.Tom 再也不是小孩子了。 8. “自由自在的”free用法 （1）adj. “（时间）空闲的；空余的”。 I’m free at any time.我随时都有空。 （2）adj. “自由的”。 You are free to do as you wish.你想怎么做都可以。 （3）adj. “免费的”。 The lunch is free.这顿午餐是免费的。 拓展：freedom，名词 “自由”。 9. “丰富多彩的”need 用法 （1）动词，“需要”。 ①need sth.需要某物 歌曲All rise中歌词I need your help. ②need to do sth.需要做某事 You need to do it right now.你需要现在就做。 （2）情态动词，“需要；必须”，常用于否定句或者疑问句中。 -- Need I finish my homework now, dad? --Yes, you must./No, you needn’t/don’t have to.(不必) --爸爸，我需要现在完成家庭作业吗？ --是的，你必须。/不，你不必。 （3）名词， “需要”。 There is no need to worry about it.不必担心这件事情。 拓展：sth.need(s) doing =sth. need(s) to be done 翻译：这些花需要被浇水了。 The flowers need watering. =The flowers need to be watered. M4U2： 1. What be + sb./sth like? “......怎么样？”用于询问某人/某物的性格、性质、特征等。 --What’s Lily like? --She’s very shy.(害羞的) 2. 代词辨析：one & it （1）Your bike is very nice.I’d like(would like) to buy one. 你的自行车非常棒，我也想买一辆。（one指代前面提到的自行车中的一款，不是它本身。one 也可以指代人。） 而（2）Your bike is very nice.I’d like(would like) to buy it. 你的自行车非常棒，我想把它买下【你开个价吧？】。（it就是指代前文的自行车，是它本身，只能指物。） 故一般平时我们想表达的应该是第一句。 3. come true (希望、梦想等)实现，成真。 Study hard, and your dream will come true in the future. =If you study hard, your dream will come true in the future. 4. “多变、善变的”change (1)动词，“改变”。change...into把......变成；change from...to...从......变成。 We can change ice into water by heating it.通过加热我们可以把冰变成水。 （2）名词，不可数，“零钱”。可数，“变化，改变”。 ①I have no change with me.我身边没有带零钱。 ②There are changes in the weather in London these days. 伦敦最近天气多变。 5.“有意思的”mean （1）动词，“意思是，意味着”。 What does the novel coronavirus pneumonia mean in Chinese? =What’s the meaning of the novel coronavirus pneumonia in Chinese? “the novel coronavirus pneumonia”汉语什么意思？（新冠肺炎) （2）动词，“意欲，打算；意味着” ①mean to do sth.意欲，打算做某事 I didn’t mean to upset you.我并不是有意要让你伤心的。（无心） ②mean doing sth.意味着做某事 Missing the coach means waiting for another h ... ...
