Unit 4 Look into Science Lesson 26 Keep the candle burning 教学设计 一. 教材分析 本单元以look into science 为话题。要求学生通过学习本单元,掌握描述科学实验的一些表达方式、词汇和短语。在此基础上能够动手做实验,谈论实验步骤。同时,通过学习这个单元,培养同学们严谨的思路和良好的科学探索精神。本课重点通过实验来进一步巩固重要句型及单词的用法,培养学生热爱科学的意识和动手做实验的兴趣。 二.学情分析 本课是实验课,接近生活,应以动手操作为主,能最大限度的调动学生的积极性,参与学习。 三.教学设计思路 这个实验是我们学做的第一个实验。首先,通过谈话导入本课;然后,通过图片学习生词;接着,教师演示实验过程,用英语描述实验步骤,再分组做实验,让学生仔细观察:瓶子里的水为什么会上升?上升了多少? 四.教学目标 1. Aims of knowledge: Learn the words for Lesson 30and expressions as follows: Experiment match light use up science Learn the following patterns: Keep something/somebody doing To make/have/let something do 分数表达法 2.Aims of abilities:通过本课学习,培养学生在听、读的时候快速获取关键信息的能力,能自己动手做实验,用英语描述实验步骤,进一步引导学生树立自主学习的概念和意识。 3.Aims of emotion:通过本课教学,使学生学会积累生活经验, 培养学生的动手能力,引导学生认识到科学的重要性,树立热爱科学的意识。 教学重难点: 1. Teaching important points: 掌握实验操作过程,用英语描述实验步骤。 2. Teaching difficult point: 得到结论 As the candle burns, it uses up oxygen in the air. So the water rises and fills about one-fifth of the jar. 教学方法: 本课采用教师做实验让学生观察,并让学生合上书本复述实验步骤的方法,采用提问、启发、讨论和归纳的教法,让学生容易接受教材知识,理解文章内容,培养学生的语言综合运用能力。 学生学法:听课文 复述课文 讨论 总结 教具准备:多媒体设备,录音机,磁带。 教学过程: Step1: Greet the whole class as usual. Step2: lead-in Show a picture and ask: What is the girl doing ? (She is doing an expeniment.) Do you like doing experiments? Why? Ok, Today We will do an experiment. I’m sure you will like it. How shall we do? What will it tell us? Now Let’s begin Lesson 30 Keep the candle burning ! Step3: Teaching of the new lesson 1. To show some objects. (展示图片:蜡烛、烛台、火柴、广口瓶、浅口盘、装满水的杯子) What are they? (学生在看过图片后,教师询问,引起学生对本课新词的回忆与巩固。) 2.To do the experiment and asks Ss to make observation. Then describle the steps in English. 3. Ask Ss to do the experiment in group and pay attention to the steps. 4.One student do the experiment in the front of class, the others retell steps. Then ask one student to do the experiment and describle the steps in English by himself. The others make observation .The teacher ask: What will happen? (The candle stops burning, The water inside the jar rises.) 5.Listen to the tape and answer the quwstions.] How does the water in the jar rise? How far does the water rise? Why? 6 .
