Let’s do. (课件出示:教材P25 Let’s do) 3. Enjoy a song—Letter I. (出示课件) T: Now, let’s sing a song together! T: That’s a nice song, isn’t it? You’re all good singers. Write down the topic on the blackboard. T: Today, I’ll divide you into four groups: “Fat” “Thin” “Tall” and “Short”. Let’s make a competition. So, come on! Boys and girls! Ss: Come on! Step 2: Presentation 1. Guess a riddle. (1)T: Class, please look at the screen. Let’s guess a riddle. Ss: Pig! T: Super! Show the pig on the PPT. (出示课件) (Write down the word “pig” on the blackboard.) (2)Point to the whale on the PPT. Show Picture 1 on P26 on the PPT. Let students look carefully. (出示课件) T: Look at the picture, listen and follow the recording, please. Play the cartoon again. Let students read after the recording. Show the four words on the PPT: big, pig, six, milk. (出示课件) T: Can you find the same letter? Ss: Yes, they all have letter “i”. T: What is the sound? Ss: /Ι/. T: Good! 3. Read and summarize. .T: Class, look at my mouth. /b/-/Ι/-/g/, big. Follow me, please. Students read after the teacher, and summarize the pronunciation rules. T: How many sounds do you hear in “big”?
