Greetings. 2. Revision. Show some pictures about the weather on the PPT. (课件出示) Students look at the pictures and review the words “rainy, snowy, windy, cloudy, sunny”. 3. Let's say. T: What's the weather like in Sydney? (Point to Sydney and help students understand the question.) Ss: It's sunny in Sydney. … 4. Lead-|in. T: Today we're going to talk about the “weather”. Write down the topic “Weather” on the blackboard. Step 2: Presentation 1. Look and predict. Show the two pictures in “Let's talk”. Let students look at the pictures carefully. Ask some questions to lead them to predict the main idea of the dialogue. The questions are like these: ① Who are they? ② Where are they? ③ What are they talking about? ④ What's the weather like in…? 2. Watch and choose. Show the questions on the PPT. Students watch the cartoon and answer the questions. (课件出示:Let's talk视频) T: What's the weather like in Beijing? Ss: It's warm in Beijing. Write down the sentence on the blackboard. Lead students to read the sentence for several times. 3. Read and fill in the blanks. Show the chart on the PPT. Students read the dialogue and try to fill in the blanks. 4. Check the answers and learn the new words and the new sentences. T: Who are they? Ss: Chen Jie and Mark. T: Where are they? Ss: Chen Jie is in Beijing. Mark is in New York. Show a picture of New York on the PPT. (课件出示:一张纽约的图片) Students learn to say the sentence. T: What's the weather like in New York? Ss: It's rainy in New York.
