1027430010248900M7 Computers Unit3 Language in Use Lesson Module 7 Computers Unit 3 Language in use Students Type Revision and application Analysis of Students Students have learnt the words and the expressions about computer using; Students have learnt serial instructions on giving instructions of computer operation by asking and answering in present simple. What above has provided the possibility for students to express themselves to talk about computers with questions and answers in simple tense. Students have talked about computers, but have a bit difficulty in asking and answering about the computer in present simple with questions and answers, which should be enhanced in Unit 3 and at last will be used in the survey. Analysis of the Teaching Material It is a revision and application unit and have students be able to make a survey about students and computers. So in this class, teacher will have Ss make an output- survey and then report by revising the vocabularies, questions, and the structure. But it lacks of proper exercise on the report structure. Thus teacher adds a reading material to point out the structure. Teaching Aims Language Most of students will be able to grasp the questions and answers in present simple by speaking, reading and discussing. Students will be able to know the use of the words and expressions in this module: first, next, then, finally, often, turn on, use, connect, click, Internet, check, train, plan, travel, search, information, sometimes, visit, email, holiday. Most students will be able to make a survey by asking and taking notes after revising the vocabularies, questions and structure. Some students will be able to write a short report about computer by making a survey. Culture Students will be able to be aware of the different uses of computers by different people in different places. Thought Students will be able to summarize the use of questions in present simple by speaking, reading and survey. Students will be able to learn to correct mistakes by communicating with their partners. Students will be able to learn to cooperate with each other while doing surveys. Learning Students will be able to develop their interest in English learning by computer’s learning. Teaching Emphasis 1. To know the use of the vocabularies and expressions on computers. 2. The use of the questions and answers in the present simple tense. Teaching Difficulties The use of the questions and answers in the present simple tense. To understand the different use of do and does when asking questions. Teaching Methods Task-based approach, interactive practice. Teaching Aids Computer, Multi-media, magnetic cardboard.
