Unit 3 On the move Beijing, with co?host Zhangjiakou in neighboring Hebei Province, will host the 24th winter Olympic Games in 2022. It will be the first city to host both the Summer and Winter Olympic Games after beating Kazakhstan's Alma?Ata (哈萨克斯坦的阿拉木图) to hold the 2022 Winter Olympics over the more than 100 years of history. The Winter Olympics are a total of 15 categories (种类), 102 events. Beijing will host all the ice sports; Yanqing county of Beijing and Zhangjiakou will host all the snow sports. And a high?speed railway, which was completed in 2019, links Beijing with Zhangjiakou. It takes 50 minutes to go from Beijing to Zhangjiakou. The Chinese government will take a series of measures to deal with air pollution and offer full support in finance, legal affairs and security to make sure that Beijing could present another impressive Olympics.
