To promote Ss’ interest and confidence. 2. To teach the Ss how to say the first month to second month of the year. 二、教学重点： 1. Words: January, February, the first month of the year, the second month of the year, New Year’s Day, Spring Festival 2. Sentence: January is the first month of the year. February is the second month of the year. 三、教学难点：会说并运用句子进行表达。 四、教法：Communication Teaching Method. Direct Teaching Method. 五、学法： Listening and reading. 六、教学准备：课件 1. Warming-up Watch video: Months of the Year. 2. Presentation 1）教师提问学生的生日：Whose birthday is in January / February? 让生日在1～2月的学生逐个介绍自己的生日，例如：Hi! I'm xx．My birthday is in January/February． 板书January February 2）按照月份分成小组，以月份名称为组名，如January Group；各小组讨论在自己的月份里有哪些节日，引出New Year’s Day, Spring Festival。 3）小组讨论，周围的人会在这两个月进行哪些活动。用英语记下来。最后向全班介绍展示讨论结果。 3. Practice （17 ’） 1）教师请学生分成小组完成学生用书第46页的制作讨论活动。鼓励学生联想以前学过的句型来交流，例：What do they do in January/February?Do you like... ? It’s January. The children are skating\making a snowman. It’s February. People are shopping in the supermarket\celebrating Spring Festival. 2）Let's read and chant 4.
