Lesson 19 Christmas is coming!教学设计 学情分析：这是一节关于西方节日--圣诞节的新授课。它介绍的是圣诞节的一些风俗习惯。本课内容和学生的日常生活有一定的联系，在四年级的时候他们已经接触了一些节日，如：New Year’Day, Children’s Day, Teachers’Day ……而且他们在日常生活中对西方节日有一定的了解。因此我认为这对他们理解课文有很大的帮助。但是作为学生来说理解本课课文难度也是很大。本课我想给学生营造一种学习英语的氛围，因此课前我会用关于圣诞节的歌曲 “Jingle Bells”?or “We wish you a Merry Christmas”。 教学目标： （1）能使学生听、说、读、写下列单词：holiday,Christmas,Christmas tree,lights,song认读Western,special,Santa… 和日常用语：Merry Christmas! Have fun together! （2）能使学生通过小组合作和互相交流来完成教学任务， （3）能使学生了解中西文化差异，有礼貌的和他人进行交流。 教学重点：四会单词和日常用语 教学难点：理解本课课文内容 教学准备：关于圣诞节的图片，录音机，多媒体课件 教学过程： 一、Class Opening and review （1）Greeting T:Hello,boys and girls!S:Hello,Miss Yan! T:Nice to meet you!S: :Nice to meet you,too!Let’s play a game,OK? （2）play a game “what holiday is it?”出示图片，提问“what holiday is it?”，并说出具体日期。 （设计意图：吸引学生的注意力，同时这个游戏复习了节日，自然引出holiday一词） 二、New Concepts （1）Free talk I like Spring Festival,because I can stay at home.What do you like?Do you like Children’s Day?Why? In Canada,it has an important holiday in winter.It’ on December 25th.Do you know?Can you guess? 通过教室布置，学生能大概猜出这个节日名称--圣诞节，“Christmas”然后利用课件或实物呈现本课涉及的单词, Christmas tree,lights,song,Santa。可以适当提出一些问题，What colour is the Christmas tree?Can you sing a song?Do you like Santa?等。积极踊跃的学生给予图片奖励，Do you like Santa or Christmas tree? （设计意图：通过实物直接呈现，便于学生清楚的记忆，而且把所学融入句中） （2）Disscuss 结合图片讨论中国节日春节和圣诞节的异同。如：食物（dumplings,turkey）、风俗(invite family and friends,bring gifts,sing songs)、祝福语等，引出Merry Christmas! （设计意图：通过小组成员之间的交流达到锻炼学生口语表达、思维的目的，而且了解合作的重要,便于进一步理解课文内容。） （3）Practice 简单的描述圣诞节,给出提示，小组共同完成Christmas is a (Western) holiday.It’s on ( December 25th). It’s special,it has(Christmas trees,lights and Santa)Children like Santa,because he (brings toys).In Canada,they invite their( family and friends) to their (house).They bring (gifts).They sing special (songs).They are happy.完成较好的小组表扬，适当奖励。（由学生扮演的圣诞老人发奖，同时放音乐“Jingle Bells”）和圣诞老人问好，并说Merry Christmas!Are you happy?Yes.so we have fun together!（设计意图：把所学用于句中，能够训练学生的口头表达能力，并能发挥小组合作精神） 三、课外拓展 你们想知道圣诞老人是怎么派送礼物的吗？Now let’s read a story.出示课件，讲述圣诞节时孩子们准备长筒袜，并在睡觉前放在床头，圣诞老人从烟囱钻到家中，派送礼物。 四、Listen to the tape,answer some questions (1)What’s Christmas?
