Lesson 14 Fancy Dress 一、教学目标 1. 语言能力目标:学生能够读懂故事情节;惟妙惟肖地模仿录音;绘声绘色地独立朗读故事;学生能够看图说出各种装扮的名称(scarecrow, pirate, angel, chicken)及相应的表达方式(… was a/an …);掌握字母组合“pp”的拼读规律。 2. 非语言能力目标:让学生感受一家人准备和参加化装派对的欢乐氛围;通过让学生用道具装扮人物图培养观察力;通过让学生尝试用简单道具给自己化装培养想象力和动手能力。 二、课时安排 要求每周不少于两课时,每课时至少完成一个故事。 三、教师要求 1. 教师课前须熟读故事,了解本课故事相关的文化背景: 化装派对在英国称之为fancy dress party,在美国称之为costume party,最早可追溯到18世纪流行于欧洲上流社会的化装舞会。故事中Kipper一家人正在为派对准备服装和道具。关于化装派对的更多资料可通过以下网址了解:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fancy_dress。 2. 对于较难的单词,教师可板书,并配合动作和表情帮助学生理解。 3. 全英文授课。 四、教学用具 多媒体设备、CD机、课件、单词卡(Mum, Biff, Chip, Kipper, Dad, was, a scarecrow, a pirate, an angel, a chicken,句点)、人物图(Mum, Dad, Biff, Chip, Kipper, Floppy)、服装道具图(服装稻草人、鸡、海盗、天使的图片)、图片(苹果、笑脸)。 五、课堂教学基本步骤 1. 导入(Lead-in):观看视频,了解fancy dress party 通过观看视频短片Fancy Dress Party,让学生了解何为fancy dress party,为看图讲故事做好铺垫。 教师播放视频短片(见课件),并向学生简单介绍fancy dress party: Today we are going to watch a video clip. It’s called Fancy Dress Party. In this video, everyone dressed up and went to the party. 看完视频后,教师将视频暂停在最后一个画面上,提问: Do you like the fancy dress party? Which dress do you like best, the fairy princess, the dinosaur, the nurse, the witch, the pirate, the clown or the carrot? 学生回答后,教师自然过渡到讲故事环节:Kipper’s family loved fancy dress parties. One day, they went to a fancy dress party. How did they dress up? Let’s learn the story. 2. 看图讲故事(Storytelling):理解故事情节,观察一家人的装扮 教师利用课件逐幅播放故事图片,并用丰富的表情、生动的英文和适当的肢体语言给学生绘声绘色地讲故事,让学生观察一家人分别化装成了什么,并通过故事感受 fancy dress party的欢乐氛围。 (Picture 1)Who is it? (BQ: Is it Mum?)(教师指向Mum) It’s Mum. Everyone helped Mum dress up. “Here’s a hat,” said Chip. “Here’s a nose,” said Biff. “Here’s some straw,” said Dad and Kipper. (教师分别指向道具) What was Mum? Mum was a scarecrow.(教师指向稻草人) (Picture 2)Look at Biff and Chip!(教师分别指向Biff和Chip) What were they? Look at their hats. (BQ: Were they scarecrows?) Biff was a pirate. Chip was a pirate. “Look at my hook!” said Chip. (教师指向铁钩) (Picture 3)What was Kipper? (BQ: Was Kipper a pirate? Was Kipper a scarecrow?) Kipper was an angel. He had wings and a halo.(教师指向翅膀和头上的光圈) Mum, Chip and Biff looked at him. Did they like this angel? (Picture 4)Dad was dressed up. He had wings, too. Was he an angel? (教师指向Dad) No, Dad was a chicken.
