Lesson 17 The Pet Shop 一、教学目标 1. 语言能力目标:学生能够读懂故事情节;惟妙惟肖地模仿录音;绘声绘色地独立朗读故事;能根据图片说出宠物名称;灵活运用“…want/wanted ...”的表达方式;掌握字母组合“sh”的拼读规律。 2. 非语言能力目标:让学生体验一家人选购宠物的过程;通过让学生对比故事人物的面部表情培养学生的观察力和想象力;培养学生敢读、敢表达的自信和勇气。 二、课时安排 要求每周不少于两课时,每课时至少完成一个故事。 三、教师要求 1. 教师课前须熟读故事,了解本课故事内容。 2. 对于较难的单词,教师可板书,并配合动作和表情帮助学生理解。 3. 全英文授课。 四、教学用具 多媒体设备、CD机、课件、人物图(Mum, Dad, Biff, Chip, Kipper)、玩具实物(如rat, spider, snake, goldfish, rabbit, dog, cat, bear等)、动物图(rat, spider, snake, goldfish)。 五、课堂教学基本步骤 1. 导入(Lead-in):看视频,结合实际谈论宠物 通过播放一首关于动物的儿歌,引入关于宠物的讨论,为看图讲故事做好铺垫。 (1)教师播放一首关于动物的儿歌(见课件),引入关于宠物的讨论。 Do you like animals? What animals did you see in the video? Do you have animals in your house? (2)教师展示一些孩子与宠物的图片(见课件),帮助学生理解pet,并自然过渡到讲故事环节: Look! Alice has a rabbit. Wendy has a dog. Joy has a cat. They all have pets. Do you have a pet? Do you want a pet? One day, Kipper’s family wanted a pet. Where did they go? What pet did they buy? Let’s learn the story The Pet Shop. 2. 看图讲故事(Storytelling):理解故事情节,体会一家人在宠物店选购宠物的经历 教师利用课件逐幅播放故事图片,并用丰富的表情、生动的英文和适当的肢体语言给学生绘声绘色地讲故事,让学生体验选购宠物的过程,并仔细观察一家人在选购宠物时的表情变化。 (Picture 1)Everyone wanted a pet. They went to the pet shop. (指向图中Pet Shop的牌子) The shopkeeper opened the door. (指向图片中的店主) “Come in,” she said. (配合动作) (Picture 2)What did Chip want? (BQ: Did he want a cat?) Chip wanted a rat.(指向Chip) “Oh! I want this rat. It is lovely!” said Chip.(展示实物,模仿Chip的表情和语调) (Picture 3)Look at Mum, Dad, Biff and Kipper. Did they want a rat? “Oh no!” said everyone. (请学生模仿Kipper的表情和动作) (Picture 4)What did Biff want? (BQ: Did she want a rabbit?) Biff wanted a spider. Biff liked the spider. (指向Biff) “I want this spider. It is cute!” said Biff. (展示实物,模仿Biff的表情和语调) Look at Mum, Dad, Chip and Kipper. Did they want a spider? “Oh no!” said everyone. (请学生模仿妈妈的表情和动作) (Picture 5)Now look at Kipper. What did he want? (BQ: Did he want a bird?)
