The average size of a Great Hammerhead is approximately 3.5 meters, but can grow up to 6 meters long. These sharks average over 500 pounds but can weigh as much as 1,000 pounds. Like most sharks the females are larger than the males. They have several rows of teeth that have 24 to 37 teeth per row.
