Make a dictation of the new words and phrases of Section A. 2. Look at the picture of 3a. Get the students to be different pairs to ask and answer ways Step 2 Practice T: Please look at the new words; let’s find out whose pronunciation is the best in my class. Ask the students to try to pronounce one by one, then the teacher correct it. Look at 1a. The teacher asks the Ss who could put the three phrases into English, then let the Ss match the words in the box with the signs, and see who does the best and most quickly. Step 3 Listening Look at 1a and 1b. 1. T asks the Ss to listen and write the correct place for each letter in the picture. 2. Listen again. Fill in the blanks. Check the answers. Step 4 Group work Look at the picture of 1b. 1. Divide the Ss into groups. Each group has two students. 2. T: Now please imagine you and your partner are the two people in the picture in 1b. Ask and answer questions about the places. Look at 2a and 2b. 1. The teacher asks the Ss to check the places near your home. Tell your partner where they are. 2. The teacher asks the Ss to find out difficulties and explain them. Step 5 Reading 1. Fast Reading: Read the passages and match each passage with a map. Ss read and match. Then check the answers. 2. Careful Reading Work on 2c: The teacher asks the Ss read passages again and answer the questions. Ss read the passage and try to answer the questions. Check the answers with the class.
