Unit1 I have some photos that I took in Australia last year. Lesson type: Listening and speaking Teaching Aims and Demands: Teaching goals 教学目标 1. Language goals 语言目标 a. Teaching important/difficult points教学重难点 How to talk about the places which have been visited using functional sentences. How to understand the sentences above How to write a passage about Australia. Teaching aids 教具准备 A tape recorder, a projector and a computer Learning strategies: Bottom –up approach and listening to the tape and do some exercises. Teaching Aids: Multi-Media Teaching time: one period Teaching procedures: Step 1Warming-up The teacher greets the students as usual. Show the video and ask the students to answer the questions on the ppt. “How to write a letter to Nuoyi who is a boy visiting Australia ” (设计意图:观看录像引起学生兴趣。引出本课题关于澳洲概况的话题。给学生提前布置TASK及怎么完成给诺一的信) Step 2 Lead-in Learning some new words and structures. (设计意图:学习本课中的难道词汇和表达法,为后面听力和写作任务作准备。) Step 3 Pre-listening In this procedure, let the students learn some more about Australia. Ask the students to listen to the tape with the pictures on page 80. T: Here are three pictures. Do you know what they are? And do you know the answers to these questions in Activity 1. (设计意图:听材料,利用课件完成课本中活动一和二。简单了解澳洲的基本概况。) Ask the students to fill in the blanks in Activity 2. Then check it. After that, complete some sentences according the listening. (设计意图:以填单词的形式,巩固听力的效果。然后再利用图片训练重要句型,达到知识迁移的目的。) Step 4While-listening In this procedure ask the students to get the main idea and some details from the conversation. 1. Listen to the conversation, after listening to the tape and complete the box in Activity 3 Facts about Australia Name Sydney Opera House Great Barrier Reef Location in the centre of Australia Sydney Details special huge rock A huge sailing boat with water on three sides Then complete the short passage with the correct form of the words in Activity 5.
