Let the students talk in groups like this: S1: Tell me some things about your penfriend. S2: OK. My penfriend is a boy from America. S3: How old is he? S2: He is twelve years old. S4: What’s his favourite subject? S2: Maths. And he wants to learn Chinese too. … 2. Walk around the class. Provide help if the students have difficulty in expressing themselves. Step 2 Listening 1. Tell the students that they’re going to listen to something about penfriends. 2. Give the students time to read the answer sheet first. About Jane’s penfriend: ? a (1)     from (2)     ?
